New Patient Story

I have always gotten my mammograms at Ohio Valley Breast Center. I love the staff, the kind and caring approach of all the techs, nurses, doctors, etc. May 7, 2021 was just another routine mammogram appointment. On May 10 I received a phone call that things didn't look normal. May 17, I returned for more diagnostic images and an ultrasound. Consultation with the doctor suggested a biopsy which was done May 18. I was traveling in the car on May 20 to TN for my grandson's HS graduation when I received the dreaded phone call and diagnosis - I have breast cancer. From that day forward I was never alone. I was gently and empathetically guided though what was next and always accompanied by one of the employees mentioned as I began my journey to surgery and treatment. I am so blessed to have these women by my side and on my team. I can't thank them enough for being there for me. Ohio Valley Breast Center is the best!
