New Patient Story

It comes with great pleasure to share my story, not only for all Medical Staff involved to know the accurate feedback form patients, But also, more essentially is that patients who were similarly situated as I am, cognizes that the level of care and compassion is at the utmost highest level and that EVERY SINGLE PERSON who I came into contact with, during the entire stay, before my procedures and even up to current present time has consistently exceeded my expectations in each and every facet of the care provided.
From the initial appointments, to the JOINT IMPACT CLASS prior to my operation, through the minor set-backs, as well as the major improvements that I made, the Staff made me feel welcome, comfortable and like I was family. More importantly, they made my other family members feel this way too.
As everyone is different, and their wants and needs may vary, there is no question in my mind that the staff members at this Facility strive to actually understand and interpret your desires and concerns.
Even though Doctor Thomas Cook did my actual Surgery, God Bless his heart, many many others involved completed their aspects of the position just as well and thoroughly, only leaving a sincere feeling of Love and Care, at each and every conversation, meeting, phone-call, email, etc.
It would not be fair to single out the ones whom I remember their names, and unfortunately I only have one DAISY AWARD form..for whom Janet, Amy, Kim, and Jessica et. al. would all more than qualify, and if your reading this you know who you are. But it is most imperative to look at the totality of the circumstances and in the last 3 months I have truly had a very large support group, many of whom work at Ohio Valley Surgical Hospital.
There can be no question that a Bi-Lateral Hip Replacement for anyone would be a scary and stressful situation. But, by making sure I was informed and knew of their entire plan and blueprint for not only my procedure, but all the aftercare that was to follow made me feel more comfortable going into the procedure.
By walking me through all the steps, having an IMPACT- Joint Replacement Program, and several nurses calling me to follow up, or even just check in with me, made me feel great, comfortable and loved.
I can not express enough Gratitude in the allotted character limit for the outstanding level of care and commitment that each and every single person made me feel that I came into contact with, even down to the Food Service Lady whom made sure I was happy and well taken care of.
For the readers please know that this was such a positive impression that I chose to take the time to type this and pass on the true story of my experience at Ohio Valley Surgical Hospital.
Thank you to everyone involved in my expeditious recovery, but as you can see by the picture, recovery with such a great team is important to not only me, by my many loved ones as well!
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
